I have an app on Ubuntu called Alarm Clock and it won't work until the computer is no longer sleeping.

Could someone please help out because I would like to get up in the morning?

BTW, it installed perfectly, etc.

It's only when the computer is awake it suddenly goes off at the wrong moment.

Thanks.
When your computer goes to sleep all running applications are suspended until the computer comes back to life. There are things that are immune from this such as crontabs, init.d jobs, and boot scripts. My suggestion is to use your phone and your computer as an alarm clock

So if I put it into crontab to play a song?
Why do you over complicate? Use a regular alarm clock or your phone lol
I see no benefit in using the pc instead of other device.
