UPDATE: Starting this summer, I am going to be doing a new CCNA course and taking notes on both that AND the official textbook. The reason is I don't think Netacad is helping me to the extent I could learn on my own. I have been taking a break from CCNA for hard university classes. I also am going through a lot of changes right now. This should be resolved by May 25th at latest and probably by May 21st or 22nd. At that point I am going to update all of the below notes and create a new mega upload.
In the short run I will reupload the old notes right now for you guys.
Hi everyone,
CCNA or Cisco Certified Network Associate is an entry level computer networking certification. The numerous courses and books on how to earn it actually go into a lot more detail about how networks work than CompTIA Network+ (a lot more). If you want to learn how networking works, CCNA is the ideal way of doing it. I have gone through numerous books and courses and I have found the best ones are the ones published by the original Cisco vendor that builds the networking tech that you are being certified in.
The material is very difficult. So, I decided to make notes on the textbook I am learning from and publish them on GS for you all to use for your own study purposes. I'm a beginner too, so I'm still learning the fundamentals. I wanted to give my notes to everyone for free just in case it helps someone.
After all, how can putting effort into giving and sharing go wrong?
You will find links to the notes below, organized into each chapter as I make notes on each chapter. I will update these notes frequently for both Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the CCNA Official Cert Guide published by Cisco Press. Cisco Press is the official publisher that belongs to the Cisco company that administers CCNA certs and makes CISCO networking devices, such as routers and switches.
Sincerely,
QMark
PS
I got a request for all CCNA Notes to be in the same updating thread so here it is. Feel free to reply to this thread with your own comments, suggestions, or revisions.
I will continue updating but here it is so far:
