Hello GreySec,

Can we have all the important topics and a list of fundamental skills required to get started with this thread?
please link topics w/ the resources to study them   Wink

For example - how to get started with networking, basic protocols and how they work etc.

Googling a CCNA study guide would set you in the right path.

Some cool learning resources would be:
http://www.ipprimer.com
My ebooks: http://ytxmrc3pcbv5464e.onion/files/Infosec/TCP_IP/
Ditto ^ CCNA study guide: https://greysec.net/showthread.php?tid=1464

An idea would be to read up on the OSI layers and work your way up from there? I don't know that much about networking too be honest, will read more about it.

Also, a pretty complete books I hear is good: Computer Networking: A Top-Down Approach

Edit:

Ugh, my bad. I didn't mean to be that guy by suggesting something without linking it. Got a little lazy.

Don't worry about it.

Your approach is not wrong when the OP hasn't even posted any information or links themself. Leading by example when making threads should always be done if you want to be taken seriously IMO; like the malware thread https://greysec.net/showthread.php?tid=2451

This thread was started more as a request than an actual initiative. Spoonfeeding helps no one, so I don't hold anything against you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Only posted my links because I had shared a bunch of threads on this earlier anyway.
