why isn't Netlab up to date?
#1
So then, let's say I have the most recent Ubuntu and Firefox. Why isn't Netlab updated to allow people like me to access their Netlab classes from the most recent browser on the most recent version of Ubuntu?

Do I have to use my Windows machine for this because this is sad?

Should I resort to a VM?

The only thing that comes to my mind is compatibility issues. I don't know how Netlab works but if it really asks you to use older software a VM might be a good option, as in general: older versions -> known bugs

Try changing your useragent to an older webbrowser version, see if it works.
