Indeed that it is possible for someone or maybe a group of hackers to infiltrate a power grid. Everything runs on computers nowadays but it depends on the operating system and the hackers knowledge about power grids and how to compromise it.
A simple ransomware can already compromise a whole power grid. You can try and search for a ransomware called BlackEnergy. You can easily google it if you have the time and chance to do so. ![]()
